Take a hollow copper pipe (1'-2' long)place a garden hose the same length inside of the pipe. Place it into the fire and wulla...a bright blue flame. Looks pretty cool and the kids really like it.

No - not at all. But, if u put just the garden hose in there it does. We are trying to figure how it makes the blue flame. it has to be the two together that makes it - pretty neat though - and no smell. Also, the copper pipe has to have holes in it all the way down the side of it as well.

This is cool, a camp grounds keeper showed me a couple of years ago, but is awful for pollution.

i saw on ebay where you can buy this stuff and put it in your fire to change its color. don't remember what it was called.

Up here it is called "Rainbow Fire" or something like it...I have not tried it but I know people who have...they say it works.

My brother inlaw does this. Just a 1 to 1 1/2 foot piece of copper pipe with about 1/2 inch holes drilled down its length an inch or so apart. He shoves a equal lenght of cheep green garden hose inside of it and just throws it into the fire and see the pretty colors. dig the pipe out later when it cools and load it up again. Have fun.
